School Camps and Sporting Groups

For group accommodation on the Sunshine Coast Maroochy River Resort & Bungalows provides space and privacy and a central location. It is ideal for:

• family groups 
  ie getting together for a reunion, birthday, wedding or Christmas, etc.
  
  Preferred location for many families for annual gettogethers

  ie seniors bus tours, eco bus tours, school bus tours,
  Easy bus & coach turning and ample bus & coach parking. Great stopover for bus drivers.
   
• sporting groups
  ie netball championships, soccer tournaments, surfing championships, surflifesaving championships, rowing regattas, etc.
  
  Preferred location for Australian Womens Rugby League, Samoa Rugby League, Bundaberg Netball, Brisbane Netball, NQ Netball, Great Britain Canoeing, South African Kayaking,, Rowing Queensland, Mana Kayak Club, Qld Wakeboard Assoc, Sandgate Canoe Club etc
   
• school camps
  ie rowing camps, art camps, writing camps, kayak camps, survival camps) 
  
  Preferred location for Stuartholme, Nudgee, Canterbury College, Charles Darwin University, etc)

Highly recommended are the 18 one bedroom self contained bungalows which form two circles of accommodation each providing a central bbq and lawn area for gathering and activities.

Bookings for 1 cirlce have a 2 night minimum and may include one 2brm bungalow (ex Managers Residence) and camp kitchen area. Bookings for both circles have a 3 night minimum.

Maximum group capacities assuming all beds are fully occupied (ie mix of adults & children or all children) are as follows:

• Circle 1: 47 persons in 10 bungalows
• Circle 2: 38 persons in 9 bungalows
•         Total   : 85 persons
• additional 2 bedroom villas available if required for leaders

Maximum group capacities assuming 1 person per bed (ie no one sharing the double bed, still mix of adults & children or all children) 

• Circle 1: 36 persons in 10 bungalows
• Circle 2: 30 persons in 9 bungalows
• Total    : 66 persons
• additional 2 bedroom villas available if required for leaders

Maximum group capacities assuming all adult males (ie no use of top bunks or  trundles, 1 person only per double bed) are as follows:

• Circle 1: 27 persons in 10 bungalows
• Circle 2: 24 persons in 9 bungalows
• Total    : 51 persons
• additional 2 bedroom villas available if required for leaders

Additional 2 bedroom units are available but are not necessarily close together and may be spread throughout the complex. This may suit some groups but not others.

Amenities provided in all accommodation units include:

• kitchen with oven, refrigerator, microwave, food preparation equipment, cooking utensils, toaster, kettle, cutlery & crockery.
• colour TV & DVD player,
• clock radio,
• ceiling fans,
• heater (winter only),
• insect screens.

The items below are also included for your initial convenience but you may need more:

• tea towel (1)
• bath mat (1)
• pillows (4 per bungalow) removed for school camps
• blankets (1 per bed) removed for school camps
• dishwashing detergent (1)
• toilet paper (1)
• soap (1)

You will need to bring the following:

• sheets, pillowcases & towels (hire available $10 per set), or sleeping bags/swags
• toilet paper, soap and toiletries
• sunscreen, insect repellent, hat
• food & beverages
• plastic food storage containers

All bungalows are non smoking.  Pets are not permitted on the grounds.
