Saturday 5th – James Morrison & The Idea of North ‘Feels Like Spring’ 2010 Tour. Two of this country’s most dynamic artists collude to blow the winter blues away with a national tour based on their new collaborative album through ABC/Universal, "Feels Like Spring."

Sunday 6th – Winter Celebration Open Day at Chenrezig Institute (Tibetan Buddhist centre), Eudlo. Rejoice in the changing of the seasons with a day at Chenrezig Institute. There’ll be a public talk on Buddhism, Dharma Club for kids aged from five, a tour of the centre and a chance to try meditation. Our cafe is open for morning & afternoon tea and lunch, or you can bring a picnic. After lunch you are welcome to stroll in our grounds, visit the Garden of Enlightenment or browse in our extensive library.

Sunday 6th – The 2010 Caloundra Foreshore Fun Run. Entry in the 3km fun run starts at $5 for primary school students, $10 for entrants in the open category and $20 for families. Entry in the 10km run is $25. The 10 km entry fee includes a t-shirt for all runners registered before race day.

Sunday 6th – Rhythm of the Dance. The National Dance Company of Ireland. This two-hour dance and music extravaganza contains a wealth of talent derived from all areas of Irish life.

Monday 14th – Queen's Birthday at Australia Zoo. Greetings to all who reside in the Commonwealth and beyond! Be sure to prance down to the Zoo this Queen's Birthday, for a royal celebration like no other! There'll be royal muffins, and delicious royal chocolates, pony crown making competitions, birthday party games, free rides and face painting!

Friday 18th to Sunday 27th – The Noosa Longweekend Festival is recognised as one of Australia’s foremost regional cultural events. The Festival is a 10 day festival of theatre, literature, music, dance, film, visual arts, cuisine and barrier-breaking forums – in one of Australia’s most enviable destinations: Noosa Heads, Queensland.

Saturday 19th – Puppet Making For Kids Workshop. Youngsters can enjoy being creative and making their very own puppets, using a variety of materials including paper plates, cardboard and fabric. Once their masterpiece has been created, children will then learn to make them talk, bark or croak!

Saturday 19th – FREE Children's Event 'The Fabulous Kidz on Broadway'. This sparkling cast of over 30 toe-tapping talented youngsters sing and dance their way into our hearts, as the stage comes to life in a fabulous showcase of Broadway magic.

Saturday 19th June to Saturday 3rd July (various dates) – “Anything Goes”, a musical by Cole Porter. Madness and mayhem on the high seas aboard the S.S. American, sailing from New York to England. This delightful musical, set in the 1930’s has many twists and turns throughout the plot and features classic Cole Porter tunes.

Thursday 24th – Moon Walking. Moon Walking is a FREE Sunshine Coast Council “Health & Wellbeing” program for all residents and visitors to the Sunshine Coast.

Friday 25th to Saturday 26th – International Stars of Ballet. Seven principal dancers from the San Francisco Ballet create two Australian performances, exclusive to The Noosa Longweekend Festival.

Saturday 26th to Sunday 27th – “HURRY UP AND WAIT” World Premiere... “Two clowns are waiting. They have been waiting a terribly long time. One clown is determined to follow the rules and sit still. The other tries to keep boredom at arm’s length by playing games… They dine on food that appears out of thin air, use simple items to create amazing new worlds and discover an entire universe inside a hat!” Suitable for children 5 to 10 years of age.

Saturday 26th June to Monday 12th July – Winter Woolly Mammals, Zoo Keeper for a Day. Schools out and the real fun is just beginning at Australia Zoo!

Sunday 27th – Eumundi Food Fest. A feast of activities, entertainment and indulgence, with cooking demonstrations, produce stalls, wine-tasting, food stalls, and much more.

Sunday 27th – Kin Kin Heritage Walk and other walks on the Noosa Long Weekend. FREE Noosa Longweekend Festival events. All walks begin at 1.00pm. There is no need to book, simply turn up.

Thursday 1st to Sunday 11th – Zoo Keeper for a Day. Schools out and the real fun is just beginning at Australia Zoo! Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work as a Zoo Keeper? Well, wonder no more because the school holidays are back, and so is Australia Zoo's holiday program, Zoo Keeper for a Day!

Saturday 3rd to Sunday 4th – Caloundra Cup Carnival. Punters can expect full fields with high class horses and the best jockeys from around Australia, bringing competitive racing to one of the most valued racetracks in Australia. With roving entertainment and fashions on the field this day will be a day not to be missed.

Sunday 4th – The Rock Show starring Jon English. Join Aussie Rock Icon Jon English and his 9 piece group of multi-talented musicians and singers on a journey through the 60’s and 70’s to rediscover the music that shaped a generation. With a set design reminiscent of a giant 60’s living room, the Rock Show features classic rock from such acts as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zepplin, Queen, The Kinks, Cream, Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Deep Purple, Pink Floyd...

Sunday 4th – Fresh Notes at Kings. Music Association Sunshine Coast presents an exciting and original music experience, on King’s Beach, featuring three great local bands – Harri Bandhu & the BossaNova Cowboys, Khan and Marsden Lee’s. These new sounds will stir body and mind and invoke a journey of emotions on a lazy Sunday afternoon. FREE

Monday 5th – The Wizard of Oz Show. Following over 2500 performances internationally, The Wizard of Oz Show arrives on a Queensland Tour. Billed as one of Australia’s top children’s shows the kids are invited to get involved in these adventures down the Yellow Brick Road and can even come dressed as their favourite Oz characters. Live action is mixed with cartoons on screen, intelligent lighting and catchy tunes!

Tuesday 6th – Snow White & The Seven Cool Dudes. In this very interactive production, children will enjoy lots of role-play as they are invited onto the stage to become a variety of characters, including THE COOL DUDES… that love to rap. The audience becomes part of the play as they participate in the action involving the Wicked Queen plus some popular songs.

Wednesday 7th – Erth’s Dinosaur Petting Zoo. It's a petting zoo, but not as you know it. Meet Erth's awesome prehistoric creatures, from cute baby dinos to teeth-gnashing giants. Ancient life-like dinosaurs are alive and mostly friendly (!) in this fun, educational and unique performance event that will delight children of all ages. Meet a menagerie of insects, mammals and dinosaurs that once roamed free around the southern hemisphere. You can pet, feed and interact with them in a once in a lifetime imaginative experience.

Thursday 8th to Sunday 11th – Mary Valley Art Festival. To mark the festival’s 10th anniversary all previous participants over the last 10 years have been invited to submit an original piece for an innovative project. As equestrian events dominate the events calendar in the Mary Valley, the popularity of the horse is now recognised with a new category in this year’s festival.

Friday 9th to Sunday 11th – 2010 Queensland Home Garden Expo: expert advice and information on a range of gardening subjects in an enjoyable and accessible format from the Sunshine Coast Branch of the Nursery & Garden Industry.

Saturday 10th to Sunday 11th – Abbey Medieval Festival. Australia’s largest medieval event, a magical spectacle of colour, pageantry, music and chivalrous combat. There will be jousting and archery, sword combats and melees, medieval markets and dances.Don’t missthe priceless collections of the Abbey Museum.

Sunday 11th – The Caxton Street Jazz Band. Do you dance or just enjoy listening? The Band will be blowing up a storm when they present a once only performance of the music of Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk and Chris Barber. The band's music is firmly planted in the hot traditional jazz of the early 1900s, but many other music influences are represented in their performances.

Sunday 11th – Stars of the Brisbane Cabaret Festival. Join Sandro Colarelli and Alison St Ledger, as they give an edgy interpretation of the work of revered composer Kurt Weill in Beggars and Pennies in the Street. This gritty and dangerous cabaret event is performed on the asphalt, beneath the stars. One not to miss. FREE

Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th – International Rally of Queensland, Marcoola Beach. The best drivers and fastest cars from China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, New Caledonia and throughout the Asia Pacific Region come to the beautiful Sunshine Coast for the International Rally of Queensland and round 4 of the 2010 FIA Asia Pacific Rally Championship. Saturday 24th – Bindi’s 12th Birthday. Join Bindi and her friends as we make a splash with the premiere screening of Free Willy - Escape from Pirate's Cove in Australia Zoo's, very own world famous, Crocoseum! Kids under 14 are free when they come with a paying adult, so come along to Bindi's 12th Hollywood Birthday Party, only at Australia Zoo, where Bindi and movie stars rule!

Sunday 25th – King of the Mountain Festival 6am - 6pm. The famous King of the Mountain Festival and Race is Noosa's major hinterland festival and is held in the picturesque hinterland town of Pomona on the fourth Sunday of July each year. Pomona boasts a warm and friendly atmosphere, where its buildings reflect early settlement days. The festival is a community based family fun day, where the aim is to provide activities and entertainment for every age.

Monday 26th – Moon Walking. A FREE Sunshine Coast Council “Health & Wellbeing” program for all residents and visitors to the Sunshine Coast. Walk along sections of beautiful coastline and local waterways under the moonlight. Moon Walking is part of the Heart Foundation walking program.

Thursday 29th – The Pink Tribute Show. This absolutely authentic tribute to one of the globes biggest stars ‘Pink’, leaves people wondering if they have actually seen the real thing!! The Pink Show combines the colour and excitement of Pinks ‘Funhouse’ tour and the rock edge of Pinks ‘I’m Not Dead’ tour.

July 30th to Aug 1st – International Rally of Queensland. The best rally car drivers from Asia, the Pacific and Australia are preparing for a high-stakes battle on the Queensland Sunshine Coast following dramatic outcomes in the latest rounds of two major championships to be hosted by the International Rally of Queensland later this month.

Sunday 1st – National Tree Day planting at beautiful Coolum Beach. All welcome. Tools and materials provided.

Saturday 7th – The 2010 Hinterland Bike, Car and Hotrod Expo. All types of bikes, cars and hotrods on show, motorcycle stunt show, side show alley activities for the kids, licensed bar, live music, market stalls and trade demonstrations for car and bike enthusiasts, raffles, competitions. A great family day out.

Saturday 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th – The Valley Rattler. Every Saturday you can now ride a steam train down the beautifully scenic Mary Valley. After a service and check-up steam loco # 967 , a Queensland Railways C 17 Class, is again ready to haul the trains!

Sunday 8th – The University of the Sunshine Coast Athletics Club Annual Winter Carnival August 2010. The club’s annual winter carnival will be on Sunday, August 8, with medals awarded to all place getters. Age groups operate for males and females from under 8 to Under 18, open and masters.

Saturday 14th to Sunday 29th – Sunshine Coast Wildflower Festival. Programs available 1 July and bookings available from 26 July. Explore the wildflowers, wallum and coastal vegetation communities of the Sunshine Coast Region.

Saturday 14th – The Imperial Russian Ballet presents The Nutcracker. The Imperial Russian Ballet present their interpretation of The Nutcracker accompanied by Tchaikovsky’s remarkable score. The story is of a mysterious toy maker who comes to visit a family over Christmas. With him he brings toys for the households two children Clara and Fritz. Clara is particularly taken by one toy, the Nutcracker, and the ensuing adventures she encounters blur the line of dream and reality.

Wednesday 18th August to Sunday 3rd October – The Sunshine Coast Art Prize has yet again attracted the best contemporary art Australia has to offer. From 400 entries Australia-wide, a selection of 40 finalists has been chosen.

Friday 20th to Sunday 29th – Festival of the Walks - Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Experience some of the range's most scenic areas: warm subtropical rainforest, full open eucalypt forest and picturesque waterfalls during this eight day festival of guided walks. There will be over 20 guide walks including the children's story walk, garden walks, nature walks, artist's walks and a large fundraising walk connecting communities and villages.

Tuesday 24th to Sunday 29th – The National Music Muster. Held over six magical days and unforgettable nights among the towering gums of Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, the Muster celebrates the true spirit of country Australia. It's a phenomenal experience rooted in music and community. 'There are no strangers at the Muster, just friends you haven't met yet’.

Wednesday 25th – Lloyd Webber and Friends. Experience the wonderful world of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and his Friends. This show also celebrates many of the great artists who have collaborated with Lloyd Webber including Tim Rice, Sir Elton John and more. Complete with full Narrative of Sir Andrew’s fascinating life, this show is not to be missed!

Saturday 28th – The Wickety Wak Years. The Legendary Wickety Wak became an absolute household name from their early days on the Jackie McDonald Breakfast show to their own Television series with Channel 7 in the 80's and early 90's.
